Mrs. Linda Lee Douthitt Golden

Linda Douthitt Golden was born to the late Dorothy L. Douthitt and the late James M. Douthitt on July 16th, 1952 in St Louis, MO.  She died of natural causes on April 12th, 2020 in Pine Mountain, GA. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 29 years,  Robert Michael Golden and her children, Sean (Kara) Miles, Phillip (Rebekah) Miles, and Allen (Melinda) Golden. She is also survived by her brother James (Jeannine Browning) Douthitt, her sister Donna (Bruce) Sweeney, her brother David (Thelma) Douthitt, and her sister Patricia (Steve) Hughes. One of Linda’s greatest joys in life was being a Nana. She leaves behind her four treasured grandchildren, Jadarius Young, Gavin Miles, Walker Golden, and Caroline Miles. She ended every phone call and visit by telling them, “Your Nana loves you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.” Linda is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her nephew, Michael Murdock and her grandson, Hudson Golden. She worked as a paraprofessional for the Troup County School System for over 30 years with most of her time spent at Hollis Hand Elementary. She took great pride in “her kids” and loved them dearly. The most important thing in Linda’s life was her family, specifically her children and grandchildren and she lived a life devoted to them. She was their biggest cheerleader. Those who love Linda will always remember her when they see a cardinal. A celebration of life will be held at a later to-be-determined date due to the corona virus. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring her with a donation to the Hollis Hand PTO. You may contact to express your condolences. Hunter Allen Myhand, a Higgins Family Funeral Home, 706-884-5626.
